that science throughout history has progressed in a series
of fits and starts, and knowing that the pioneers of science
probably did not show genius if their first scientific endeavors,
the Board of Directors of the Colorado Science and Engineering
Fair has created this series of Pioneers of Science Awards
to encourage our youngest scientists to endeavor to achieve
